On December 6, as part of the forum, Oleg Volkov, Partner and Director for International Development and Communications of Polygled and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Cooperation Memorandum between the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the International Education Platform Polygled. Oleg Volkov also spoke about Polygled during the panel discussion "How to get published".
The International Science Forum: Research transformation: Global outlook was held in Tashkent on December 6. The event, organized in cooperation with Elsevier and AIFC, brought together scientists, experts, practitioners and industry leaders, becoming an open platform for discussing the prospects of education and science. This year the forum was held under the slogan "Research Impact", as one of the key objectives of research activities is the impact of science on sustainable economic development of individual industries, as well as the country and the region as a whole.
A special event of the forum was the "Scopus Award - 2019" award ceremony for the best scientists, which took place on December 6 at the Zarafshan concert hall. The ceremony was attended by the heads of ministries and organizations, representatives of the world's leading rating agencies such as QS, Times Higher Education, Elsevier specialists, foreign experts, rectors, vice-rectors and doctoral candidates. The winners of Scopus Award-2019 in 28 nominations were 37 scientists and researchers, 6 universities and 1 scientific journal. Polygled also took part in awarding the leading specialists and organizations developing science in Uzbekistan.
